Terms of Use

Last updated : 22 August 2026

In short. Barolog is a personal journal that sets your symptoms against atmospheric pressure. It is not a medical device and does not replace medical advice. The free version has no time limit; Barolog Pro is sold either as a renewing yearly subscription or as a one-off permanent purchase.

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the Barolog application, published by the party identified at the bottom of this page. Installing the app means accepting them. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.

2. What the app does

Barolog records the atmospheric pressure measured by your phone’s barometer, fills the gaps with public weather data, and sets it against the episodes you log: migraines, joint pain, mood, fatigue. After several weeks of readings, it looks for a repeated coincidence between your episodes and pressure changes.

3. Medical disclaimer

Barolog describes coincidences in your data. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace medical advice.

Specifically:

The export document is material for a conversation with your doctor, not a medical report.

4. Free and Pro

The free version gives unlimited journal entries and correlation analysis on one symptom.

Barolog Pro adds analysis of all your symptoms and their comparison, alerts ahead of a pressure drop matching your profile, and the export intended for your doctor.

5. Purchases, subscription and cancellation

Barolog Pro is offered in two forms, at your choice:

The applicable terms:

Right of withdrawal. By buying digital content supplied immediately, you request immediate performance and waive your fourteen-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.

6. Your data

Your symptoms stay on your device. The detail is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

You are responsible for your own backups: uninstalling the app destroys the local database, and we hold no copy. No recovery is possible on our side.

7. Acceptable use

The app is provided for personal use. Decompiling it, circumventing the limits of the free version, or exploiting its results commercially or clinically without written agreement is prohibited.

8. Availability and changes

The app depends on third-party services — Apple’s store, the public weather service — whose downtime may temporarily degrade it. Features may change, and a paid feature that is withdrawn entitles you to a refund of the remaining pro rata of the current subscription.

9. Liability

The app is provided as is, with no warranty that its analyses are accurate, complete or suited to your situation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from a health decision taken on the strength of the app, from the loss of local data, or from the unavailability of a third-party service.

Nothing here limits our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or personal injury.

10. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its visual identity and its code remain the property of the publisher. The content you enter remains yours.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute, write to us first at the contact address at the bottom of this page. Failing agreement, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, or the European online dispute resolution platform. French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules that let you bring proceedings where you live.

12. Changes

These terms may be updated; the applicable version is the one published on this page at the time you use the app. A substantial change is announced inside the app.
